VoIP technology is becoming quite popular in the healthcare sector. A number of hospitals have been adopting this technology as it has number of benefits associated with it such as reduction of costs by use of existing networks and can be used quite easily with videoconferencing. It has enabled medical fraternity to discuss new ways of treatments, prescription drug and number of other details with their counterparts located across the world in a cheap and easy manner.

VoIP telephony has enabled doctors and nurses to keep in contact and wireless telephone handsets are being used to allow communication with the patients. This easy form of communication has certainly put the healthcare sector on the front foot and has enabled them to offer better services to the patients.
