Verizon has finalized plans to market the LG Fathom, a Windows Mobile smartphone with a touch screen display, slide-out keyboard and global roaming capabilities, next week for $150 with a two-year contract.
The Fathom is set to feature a speedy 1GHz processor and Microsoft's latest Windows Mobile 6.5 software for access to Office Mobile apps to view and edit document, send and receive email and chat on AOL, Windows Mobile and Yahoo clients.
It also boasts a large 3.2-inch touch screen display with vibration feedback and a full QWERTY keyboard, a built-in 3.2-megapixel auto-focus camera and MP3 player, Wi-Fi connectivity and global CDMA/GSM roaming with high-speed EV-DO/HSDPA Internet access.
Customers can also get worldwide turn-by-turn directions through VZ Navigator Global.
Verizon says the LG Fathom will be available in stores on June 3.
